Ashley Lawrence

Over the last thirty years, Ashley has built up and sold four businesses. As well as being co-founder of Skills for business LLP, he currently ownes and runs two other very successful businesses Aquachain Ltd. & Haggling For You Ltd. He is a highly motivated individual, naturally enthusiastic with a real passion for life. He is totally dedicated and passionate about coaching his clients towards an extraordinary life.

He is totally committed to the Coaching philosophy and is a graduate of The Coaching Academy, also of the Masterclass of Corporate Coaching from The Coaching Academy. He is an NLP Practitioner, Master Practitioner and NLP Trainer Trainer and was trained by some of the leading trainers in NLP including John Seymour, Paul McKenna, Michael Neil, and the creator of NLP Dr Richard Bandler. He is an EFT Master Practitioner and also in his final PHD year in Psychology and Philosophy.

He has a wealth of experience in every aspect of business, and specialises in Leadership Skills, & Negotiation Coaching. Ashley helps all of his clients become the best they can be.

Ashley also achieved the ultimate goal for a sportsman, by playing for his country and furthermore won a Silver Medal in the Indoor Cricket World Championships!! He plays for, coaches and manages the England Indoor Cricket teams, and is the current Chairman of the England Indoor Cricket Association. (EICA)

He is an accomplished public speaker and holds monthly training courses in Negotiation, Presentation and Sales skills.

Most importantly Ashley is a genuine, honest and direct person. His life skills and experiences allow him to fully empathise with his clients on every level.

Steve Jones

Steve Jones has spent a lifetime working in the field of performance. With over 20 years in the Health & Fitness Industry where performance of business, teams and individuals was as important as the performance of gym members. With over 12 individual coaching awards and disciplines in a variety of sports Steve soon learnt how to motivate and improve people of all ages and abilities.

Steve was quick to spot how these skills were transferable to the business world where Steve rose to senior management positions working in the early days to help grow Health and Fitness in the public sector before running his own gym business. It wasn’t long before Steve was snapped up by Cyanamid UK to run their corporate gym where his work led to national recognition in the form of ‘Wellness Award’ for marketing and creating awareness of the benefits to business of corporate gyms.

This in turn led to Steve working with GlaxoWellcome where Steve was involved in the change of their working men’s clubs to health and fitness centres. On completion of his contract Steve moved back South as Business Development Manager for a little known company called ‘Future Fit’ who thanks to Steve’s efforts are now a market leader in training provision to the Health & Fitness industry.

Shortly after completing his work at Future Fit, Steve joined the management team of Fitness First Plc. During his time with Fitness First Plc they expanded rapidly growing from 13 clubs to 300+ in seven years whilst going through the AIM listing and taking the FTSE by storm to become the largest independent health club chain in Europe and third largest in the World.

It was not long before Steve was approached by Shirlaws Business Coaching – a global provider of coaching to owner managed businesses – where Steve contributed to their growth in the UK, whilst also honing and improving his coaching skills and knowledge. Two and a half years later Steve deciding to develop his own brand of coaching based on his own unique skills and knowledge to give birth to Performant Business Coaching.
